We did a little beta test the last few days to check out the new BHDPinger 6.0 was bug free, it seems like it is but if you encounter any problem please report them at the Pinger support forums .
Thanks to Dstructr to help the community with the release of BHDPinger 6.0.
Important information
- Server hosters
If you host multiple servers on 1 IP adress then you probally have different portnumbers for your hosted BHD game.
Insert your 5-digit portnumber when it's not the default one (17479) inside the servername or servermessage in order to let BHDPinger users add your server to the favourites list of BHDPinger.
- Windows Vista users
Use BHDPinger only with administration rights, otherwise errors will occur and BHDPinger will not function well.
Features
- Integrated browser.
- Auto Updater included
- Custom filters for players, maxplayers, gametype, dedicated, skins and tracers.
- Using ICMP and measuring min/max/average ping/packet loss.
- Configurable number of times and number of bytes to ping.
- Sequential pinging for higher accuracy.
- Nova Pinging for servers behind firewalls.
- Ping results for each server is displayed in Green/Yellow/ or Red
color, the limits are all configurable.
- Trace option for detailed info regarding your route to the server,

decide if names should be resolved etc.
- Auto refresh of GameName, GameType, Players, Dedicated and version.

- Join by IP/URL/NovaIP.
- Add servers by IP/NovaIP.

-----My Squad leader Rogue*CS ended up calling nova after the mods went crazy in the novaworld forums (they picked up on the 5th ring) He asked them about DF: Angel Falls - here is the result of his conversation: ----
After the commotion on Novaworld and the way Moderators were banning players, locking our posts, and going as far as deleting our posts as soon as we made them, I sort of had a spell of paranoia. My second in command was suspended for posting info about pinger, and 6 hours later there was a sticky post warning people not to share that info in Nova and he and one other was banned, but later today I know IcIshoot had his account reinstated.
The moderator was, shall I say, perturbed and at the point of sounding angry when he answered the phone (which was picked up after the 5th ring..lol) when I called them today.
He started by making his case known, and after talking to him a bit in my, "hey bro, I'm your friend not your enemy" tone, I slid right on in to the subject of the new game coming out.
Delta Force Angel Falls.
>Angel Falls is being built on a completely new game engine, as I am told.
>The graphics and playability are, in his words, comparable to Crisis.
>Angel Falls is going to be launched on at least 3 platforms.
>Angel Falls is "Delta Force" and will be in the same spirit of BHD, and not a copycat version of JO, JOE or DFX.

Nova has a MED that allows them "to change terrains on the fly", which is nothing like we have seen yet, also the terrains are, as I understood it, editable, he (Nova Mod) was explaining to me that he was building a cave into the side of a mountian styled after the flat plateau mountinas in Mexico.

NovaWorld enforces logins on BHD now. Go to your BHD directory and open up the STARTUP .htm file and you'll see what I mean.
Thanks to Rogue for pointing this out.
I also tried my bypass patch for BHD I made quite some time ago (it takes you directly to the list without having to hit the login page), and nope that doesn't work as well.
Not sure if they're gonna do this to LW and TFD too, as well.
I reckon by doing this, it's a whole lot less cheaters. |
